The LÁEV-MÁV ABamot 2 seen between Hűvösvölgy and Hárs-hegy on the MÁV Széchenyi-hegy Children's Railway, on its way to the vehicle exhibition at Csillebérc station

On the 27^th December, 2024 the Budapest Children's Railway organized a vehicle exhibition at Csillebérc station together with a number of different historic special trains running between Csillebérc and Széchenyi-hegy. The exhibition also contained two salon cars with a LEGO train exhibit and opportunities for children to draw or colour various railway related objects. This allowed for trying multiple vehicles (the 490 steam locomotive, the ABamot 2 historic railcar of Lillafüred and the green C50 small diesel locomotive) on a short run between Csillebérc and Széchenyi-hegy.

I started out at Hűvösvölgy to see the trains hauling the exhibits move up the hill from the base at Hűvösvölgy depot , but unfortunately the low Sun and the dense forest made most of my photos sub-par. I think at this point my video became more enjoyable so I'm sharing it with you immediately:
