The photo was taken from the dedicated platform of the Berninabahn as it is electrified with 1000 V DC, while the rest of the railway (the Arosabahn only since 1997) with 11 kV 16 2/3 Hz AC. You can see the insulation between the two kinds of electrification in the top of this photo.
