In the original plans of brutal closure of railways it would have been Derecske station where this line would have ended. It’s like a death sentence: people from Sáránd and other stations close to Debrecen don’t take the train, Derecske statuion itself is in a bad position relative to the town. Most passangers take the train at the ruiny Derecske-Vásártér stop or come from beyond Derecske.
