The MÁV M43 1081 seen at Tolmács
I hiked down from Borsosberény to Tolmács in the valley to catch the train coming back from Romhány, but I needn't have been in a hurry: the M43 1081 Dacia
broke down by the siding of Erdőkémia, to where the tank car was brought so I had plenty of time to photograph the train there. After that, I took the train replacement bus (train traffic was suspended for passengers already those days) back to Diósjenő where I had plenty of time to drink one beer after the other at the station pub (how many other station pubs do you have left in Hungary, particularly in Hungary? Also, if you go to Nógrád, don't you dare missing the little pub at the foots of the Nógrád fort with exquisite Czech beers and a very good Gulasch (typical Hungarian stew made of beef sercved with wonderful dumplings!)
