Originally the trains from Pest and Fülek (Fil'akovo, Slovakia) over Bánréve arrived at the Gömöri station at Miskolc, while trains from Kassa (Košice, Slovakia) and Nyíregyháza arrived at the Tiszai station, the station of the Tiszavidéki Vasút. After it was taken over by the Kingdom in 1880. all trains could use the Tiszai that was renamed Főpályaudvar (Main station), so the trains of the Boldvavölgyi HÉV probably used it since the first days of its operation in 1892. After Sajóecseg, the branching from the Sajó-valley main line the track is single track and the top speed is 40 to 60 km/h. The path and the rails would allow more but the trackbed is in a bad condition and there are a number of direction faults too. Maybe replacing the M41 locomotives with light Bzmot railcars again will help keeping up the condition of the railway.
