The real attractions for a railfan are the locomotive-hauled passenger trains and the typical river valley. We have a few railways running in narrow valleys like the one in the Cuha-gorge or the Vác-Diósjenő railway in a small creek's valley and I also like the plateau of the Cserhát as the Vác-Drégelypalánk and the Aszód-Balassagyarmat traverse it, but that's not the same as a real river like the one along the Banska Bystrica-Margecany railway in Slovakia, the Mariazellerbahn in the Pielach-valley or the Dej - Brasov railway in Romania. But this line is almost like that!
