The railcars 5047 088-9 and 032-7 at Puchberg am Schneeberg station

Sometimes double-coupled trains are necessary because of the hikers who come to the Schneeberg area. This is a real hikers’ route, commuter traffic is marginal. Groups are to pre-register for their journey as capactiy is limited with the railcars. Surprisingly, ÖBB welcomes passangers, and adds extra capacitiy whenever necessary - as opposed to the practice of MÁV.
