There are a few dams accross the river, this one is probably responsible for flood control, but for example at Lilienfeld there's one providing water for a factory.
Mind the two-armed entry signal of the station: these types are not common in Austria anymore, but you can find a few of them in the Traisen valley. Not at the branching station Traisen though, they have a modern safety system with shunt control installed there.
