In the old days, when the barrier was closer to the tracks, we didn’t use the first platform for passanger trains, but when the gap was widened, we started to use only platform one. When switching from one end of the train to the other, on track two, the locomotive has to pass the point that can lead to the shed - but when a train arrives to platform one, it always leads to the shed, to protect the way of the arriving train. I couldn’t take back the signal due to a malfunction and the driver (always neglecting children) didn’t wait for my signal, just drove the locomotive in to the track next to the shed. He was surprised.
