We are in fact already on the Semmering, at 493 metres above sealevel. The mountains appeared on the trackside a little bit before Gloggnitz and the track was already climbing upwards for some distance, but the real thing begins at the exit signals of Payerbach-Reichenau. The Vienna commuter trains come until this station and provide a through route to the North of Vienna. A few years ago trains went on to Znojmo and Retz, this year the REX that were for some reason changed to simple Regio trains go to Breclav, Floridsdorf and Bernhardsthal. The number of stops and the capacity of the trains is unchanged though.
