The railway reached the middle of this line from two directions: first the Újszász-Jászapáti local railway opened in 1885, then the Northern part between Vámosgyörk and Jászapáti in 1909. The two parts have even been built by two different companies, though both lines were operated by the MÁV. As the first section had been opened well before the creation of the MÁ local railway standard buildings that part had unique station buildings and watchmen's houses. May of them were demolished or replaced by modern structures in the 80s. The Northern part is newer, Jászárokszállás has a MÁV-HÉV 3rd class building while the old loading bay at Jászdózsa had an extended watchman's house (this segment of the line was moved in the eighties from the middle of the village to the last houses and a new stop was built without a freight track). The old buildings are still visible by the main road.
