The station was built for freight: the platforms are too short to let anything longer than a usual Bzmot train stop here. Mostly V43s with two-car trains came here from Tatabánya main station, or for a time, from Felsőgalla, a station at the eastern part of Tatabánya mostly used for freight. Now, after the introdction of the regular timetable, lengthened trains from Budapest serve Oroszlány hourly. These trains are however too long for most of the platforms on this electrified branchline.
