Mérode station of the Brussels metro

As there can’t be level crossing between tracks on metro lines, they placed the inbound and outbound platforms at this branching station vertically, one above the other. The only problem is that you can only access the lower platform through a serpentine of walking corridors and escalators with about 5 minutes extra time.
