Mind the perfect road leading up there despite it only being a secondary road. Hungary is/was supposed to be a more advanced country, but still we envied these conditions. The 1414 meters (4639 feet) highest point suggests winter is not a mild season here that should leave its mark on the road.
For me it used to be difficult to imagine what a pass looks like, but this photo is so perfect an example it must make it clear to anyone how the lowest point to cross a mountain range from one valley to another looks like.
