You can travel with a small hang luggage, the rest is going to wait for you where you get off the train. It's normal in Switzerland, and though baggage cars are not really used anymore in other European countries, long-distance travellers in Switzerland need its special services. Naturally, RhB is a partner with SBB in baggage transportation. The pantograph supplies the train with energy for heating and air conditioning if the capabilities of the engine are not enough. The locomotive in the background is going to pull the just arriving train back to St. Moritz so the locomotive doesn't have to run around.
