The RhB Ge 4/4III 644 Savognin
between Rothenbrunnen and Rodels-Realta with the Glacier-Express by Scloss Ortenstein
(RhB Stammstrecke)
Though everywhere else the Glacier-Express is a standalone train, here on the busy Albulabahn it runs attached to a normal RegioExpress train between Chur and St. Moritz. There are two Glaciers every day, one of them is this Zermatt-St. Moritz, but the other one only runs between Zermatt and Chur. Now we are out of season, there are not a lot of panormaic coaches and there is only one dining car. In the summer and winter peak both of the long Glacier-Expresses have to be split up in two in Disentis for the hard climb up the Oberalppass, so a total of four trains have to pass there in each direction.
