In the previous gallery we visited the S-Bahn line of the RhB that goes on from Landquart over Chur to Thusis. We took the pictures in that album on two days, the first and last days of our journey in Switzerland. But on the first day, we also visited another railway: the RhB Surselvalinie, the railway connecting Chur to Ilanz and Disentis/Mustér, where it is possible to transfer to the trains of the Matterhorn-Gotthardbahn for Andermatt and Zermatt. To make the gallery even more complex, Károly, who usually accompanied me for the photos on this trip went to see a few interesting buildings in the Surselva region as he is an architect. First let's see his visit to a bathhouse in Vals!
In the background you can see a typical Swiss church and a freight car loaded with freshly cut lumber that is going to be moved in to Ilanz by the shunter and later pulled down to Landquart by a regular freight train.
