The introduction of this new train draw many to the local railway station, not only train enthusiasts.
At the time of the tour buffers are being removed from Sprinters as they can get attached after S-curves, as it was demonstrated in an accident when two linked units left the rails near Józsefváros. Many wondered wether there’ll be similar problems with the buffers of FLIRT, or the Swiss had learned maths?
(by the arrival of the first MÁV unit in 2006 we learned the answer: they hadn’t. Though the buffers aren’t dangerous, they cannot be used to push the EMU out from a station with electricity shut down with a diesel engine)
