Gyöngyös station

This line is currently on the same page of the timetable book as the Vámosgyörk-Jászapáti line which is today's destination, however, it was built at a totally different time in different circumstances. Being the second largest city of Heves county, Gyöngyös got its railway only three months after completion of the Hatvan-Miskolc main line, in 1870-03-16. The branch line wasn't built by a local railway company, but by the expanding State Railway.
