The agricultural railway was built to serve the freight transport between the farms and to move the workers and their families on the land. As the youngest historical narrow-gauge railway in Hungary it has a unique atmosphere. The track reconstruction on the Imremajor line finished in 2019 with the help ofan Austrian tamper and trackbed shaping machine due to the malfunction of the Hungarian KV-01 76-cm tamper machine .
