The ŽSSKC 742 398-1 is preparing to push a stopping train out from Margitfalva (Margecany, Slovakia), where the catenary was grounded for inspection
These are a lot newer photos, less than a year olds, but I have never been to the Margecany-Banská Bystrica line before, not even riding the famous Horehronec train, so I had little information on photosites and the snow made moving really difficult.
They have to touch parts of the catenary system to be sure about the operability, so electricity has to be shut down for the time of the inspection. In such cases InterCity and freight trains pass through the station using their inertia, with their pnatograph lowered, while trains that had to stop have to be pushed back under the catenary of the line which is still energized. On mountain routes it may be problematic for heavy trains to get sufficient momentum for the passing, but here on the Kassa-Oderberg Railway it's no an issue with the ramps to the saddle by Csorba (Štrba, Slovakia) are as long as half the country, so a two-section class 131 locomotive is powerful enough to accelerate any train to the allowed speed, and at the hardest part some trains even get bankers .
