The MÁV-START Zrt. M41 2103 seen between Badacsonyörs and Ábrahámhegy

The MÁV M41,2103 has been repainted to its factory red livery in 2019. Only the first few locomotives had this paintjob with the communist star stylyzed in silver outline inside a circle between the windshields. Later locomotives until number 2125 came in the same crimson livery with additional silver stripes on the sides and a large MÁV emblem, a colour that 2103 also received. All other locomotives were originally produced with the now-standard MÁV livery with a slightly more orange colour that locomotives below 2125 also gradually received. This retro locomotive was the star of the Retro Weekend of 2020 together with the three new, retro-Bhv cars in the deep, old MÁV-green. The locomotive features a new side and front road number plaque but lacks the red star. It is also inaccurate in that originally this locomotive was produced with the 45-degree spring-kind bogies, not the vertical-spring version, this error is going to be corrected later (bogies are liberally exchanged under class M41 locomotives in everyday usage). The original locomotive also did not have a mirror, but now it is necessary, so it will remain.
